Todd,
Why do you think he keeps adding to AN? I don’t see all that much upside to this stock at current levels. What do you think he sees? Is there a buyout on the way? Could he consider folding AN into SHLD?
Eddie has been very active with AN lately. I don’t know what he sees in the stock, especially going into a slowdown. I think in terms of SHLD shareholders this should be of some concern. It is clear that Eddie has been active the last few weeks which means he probably has begun to spend the money he recently raised (3 to 5 Bln. I believe). If I was a SHLD shareholder it would worry me that is clearly dedicated to expanding ESL. The whole premise of the SHLD investment was that it was going to become some kind of BERK-like vehicle. It is clear where Eddie’s heart lies… it’s ESL not SHLD.
anon,
it is ESL that owns almost 50% of shld…
your post assume lampert cannot walk and chew gum. because he uses esl to buy shares in another company, sears is being neglected?
don’t get it..
anon,
i don’t know, i am going to look into auto nation more this weekend
