The ASA Temp Staffing index jumped to 90 for the week of 9/18, the largest such jump since Dec 2010 and now sits at the highest level of 2011. This reading is 100% counter to the “we are in recession” claims you here out there and also signals improved employment trends are coming down the road. When you add this to what we saw in rail traffic last week, this ought to further dampen recession expectations.
