Household Emp falls by 201,000, Vehicle sales rebound to 17.4 SAAR-Economic expansion continues. Various employment reports often counter each other any single month. The Establishment report was higher by 196,000 with higher revisions to previous months. The Household Survey Employment report was 201,000 lower vs. Feb 2019 and as is typical no revisions to past reporting. The trends in employment and vehicle sales correlate to other economic indicator signals that the US economy continues to expand.
With all economic data, it is the correlated trends of multiple data series which are paramount not the individual reports. The Chemical Activity Barometer(CAB), Temp Help Svcs are two of many indicators which remain supportive of continued economic expansion.
