Can’t wait to read this book by Micheal Lewis
The best line is that “Berry saw this because he was not part of the collective”
In other words he separated himself from the group think, saw an opportunity then took. Here is a key point: It took two years for it to come to fruition. How many people saw it and lost their nerve when the trade went against them initially? How many made 100% and jumped out? Berry made thousands of percents because he saw the end game the whole time and waited for it to happen, just like John Paulson.
Of course it devolves into a “bash the bankers” piece like the rest. More on Berry and his thought process and what those two years were like would have made the piece far more interesting.
