The boys are just shy of $10,000 to date…….they’ve set a goal of $15,000 and have until the end of the day tomorrow to raise money….
Over the years I have received emails and had conversations with many of you. From the early $GGP days to $HHC to now $AIG many of you have had wonderful successes through your subscription. I applaud you.
Now here is a chance to “pay it forward”…
My sons’ Cam and Luke’s grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2001 and given 6-12 months to live. He hung on for nearly 20 after finding out my wife was pregnant because as he said, “I want to meet those boys”. At the end he was so very, very sick and each day set a simple goal, to “just live one more day”. Unfortunately, Louis lost his battle with cancer 4 months before Cameron and Luke were born. He never got to meet his first grandchildren.
Now, “those boys” are trying to raise money for the Jimmy Fund in Boston to help fight cancer at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute where their grandfather was treated.
Louis loved baseball, coached little league for years, was a Vietnam Vet and was one of the greatest men I have even known….
For those who have asked in the past “for a way to say thank you”, or offered a cup of coffee or lunch, please do this instead….please feel free to distribute this post anywhere you deem appropriate
