`Expect results at Bridgeland to continue to ramp up…..
Taylor Morrison agreed to purchase almost three dozen lots in Bridgeland as building ramps back up in the 11,400-acre master-planned community in Cypress.
The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based builder plans to build its Legacy series of homes on 70-foot-wide lots in the community, which is located along Fry Road near U.S. 290 northwest of Houston. The pricing has not been released.
The model home will be the Geneva design, which contains about 3,900 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a 3-car garage. Opening is anticipated in the fall.
Bridgeland’s developer, The Howard Hughes Corp., got the green light from the U.S Army Corps of Engineers to proceed with the Hidden Creek neighborhood earlier this year.
Hidden Creek is planned for nearly 1,000 homes priced from $280,000 to more than $1 million. Amenities include 60 miles of walking trails, access to more than 3,000 acres of green space, 400 acres of parks and 900 acres of lakes, and the 6,000-square-foot Lakeland Activity Center.
New home sales in Bridgeland, which opened in 2006, fell to 187 sales last year from 421 in 2012 due to the delayed permit, according to the developer.
Taylor Morrison is one of eight builders announced in Hidden Creek along with Beazer Homes, Darling Homes, Meritage Homes, Perry Homes, Ryland Homes, Village Builders and Westin Homes.
Taylor Morrison also builds in Park Creek and Cypress Creek Lakes and is planning to build in Alder Trails in the northwest Houston area.
